Hi all, I'm new to this board And six wheeling, Got a 99 Max II last fall,Love it, My Question is how do you adjust the slack adjuster? The chain is tight on the top but lays on the tub on the bottom, Is this normal? Thanks in advance for any help. |

Mikel Welcome to this board, you need to check with this site owner, Richard Clark as he has upgraded chain adjusters to get rid of the stupid max2 original chain adjusters, call him at 812-944-1643 Sam Preston |

Mike, you need to have the wheels off the ground so you can rotate them and find the tight spot. The wheels are tied together by the chain and each wheel has to be able to move forward or back to get all the play out of the chain. Once you have the wheels in the air, you will understand what I am saying. Remember the chains will last longer if you don't get them too tight. a hair loose is much better than a hair tight. Also, keep your adjusters clean - goop can get between the two plates and keep them from holding. |
