Bobby, I'm not sure I completely understand what you are asking, but it sounds like your axles need to be moved in. You are right that 1/16 of an inch contact is not enough. Check your rear axle and middle axle (it is important to keep the chains and sprockets lined up), it is possible that they are all wrong. On the 91, there is a brass bushing in the inner part of the axle that goes over the stub shaft that you replaced Make sure there is plenty of grease on the stub and in the bushing. There would only be inner bearings if someone added them - 1991s did not come from the factory with inner bearings. |

the shaft you instaled should stick out aprox 1" beond fraim on both sides, if it dose than maybe the brass bushings are realy tight, if it's short than retern it and provide more clearer discription of witch shaft you need. (or make it from 3/4" cold rolled stock, emery cloth sand the ends some.) fact is your axels can go deaper as there is nothing to stop them untill you put the drive bolt threw em and also lock down the cam lock on outer bearing, (big f hammer time) did you put an aditional bearing just inside the fraim agensed the outer body-next to the outer bearing, it may have looked like it was saposed to be there due to the 1/2 a flanget inside the fraim for suport for outer bering flanget bolts, this 1/2 flanget is squair cut holes that can hold carege bolts wich may be used to fasen your outer flangets , (insert carege bolt from inside and it will not require a wrench inside to tighten) just 1 wrench on the outside. i may have some truly ugly photo's if you realy need em, |
