Just wanted to update every one on my windshield wiper project. I finally got around to installing one this past weekend. Yeah I got pretty lazy and didn't want to mess with it for a while. Anyhow, I went to a local marine store by me and purchased the AFI-1000 wiper motor with an adjustable arm and got a blade. It cost around $100.00 for the motor I believe. Installtion wasn't as hard as I expected but I was nervous about getting it right the first time and then having a big hole in my body if I messed up. I mounted it under the dash, just slighty to the left of center. I couldn't mount it center because I have the defroster duct mounted center. It is all wired up and works great but one thing that may get a little annoying is that I have to remove the wiper arm to open the hood or fold down the windshield. Thankfully the arm comes off the shaft pretty easy. Well, that is it. If anybody is interested in this in more detail let me know. Mark |
