I just got done putting taper-lock sprockets in my ATTEX Tamohawk. They are really nice and now it is a lot easier to take out or move the axles.
It used to have the sprockets welded to a tube that was bolted to the axle. With it the old way the bolt that held the tube to the axle mashed out and made it really hard to get apart. Now to take the axles out to replace or move something all you do is loosen the two set screws in each taper-lock sprocket and loosen the collers on each bearing. It really helps a lot.

Sounds like a great idea! What was the price difference between new welded sprockets & the taper locks? If I rememebr taperlocks are not cheap.

I'm not sure how much the welded sprockets cost. But I do know that I got my taperlock sprockets for about $350. It isn't really that cheap but I think that it is worth it.
