Where can I find 22" Goodyear Rawhide III tires for our 1994 Max II. The tire came off of the rim and was ruined from driving it back to where our truck was and now it will not take to the rim and hold air. |

Where do you live? We are a tire dealer for just about any atv tire out there. I might be wrong, but we might even have a used tire in stock. We are in St. Louis, MO. We can ship the tires to you, but don't know what the shipping cost would be. |

lisa u, if it hasent a bunch of holes threw it you can try to use a tube inside the tire to re mount and keep it inflated, i'd keep the tube in use to keep it inflated though as ruind is ruined as far as tubeless go, but a few screws threw the rim will keep the tube from geting damaged by rim turning in tire,
i have the rawhide III's and had to do this with 2 already, and it worked with a whol set of six rawhide II's, theres a pic of this rim mod on route6x6 photo galerys somewhere, otherwise if youd like e-me for one. |

Lisa, Go to your local Goodyear tire dealer for a new tire. He might have to order it, but you will get a good deal. Before you give up on your old one, clean the bead real well and try to mount it only using water for lubrication. Check the bead area for nicks and cuts. If you have any, repair them with that black silicone sealant. Before I bought a new tire, I would try to seal the bead area with a bead sealer product, black silicone sealant or a good siliconized acrylic latex caulk. |

freds right you can fix the sealing edge on beads but i had some that the silicone alowed rim to spin in the tire and after it starts to do this it will leak, now for my part i was useing these tires on an older model max with a 38 hp engine,
you might not spin the rim and ruin your siliconed bead, some post a few years ago someone shaired his secret for sealing the bead and geting it to stay put at the same time, he used shelacq, i almost tryed that before the screws but the screws worked for me and i never tryed the shelacq method,
preston i beleave richard provides us with this wonderfull place to help cement our aatv comunity together,
i doubt it's a purely comertial venture,
i beleave he suports the body of our comunity in suporting and helping one another,
this i see reflected in the very way this web site is set up,
indeviduals helping one another being one thing there is sectiones where comertial entitys can and should operate here on his site, he has clasifyds and links too dealers ect,
and his shop and parts links as well if and when you need them,
lisa simply has an emeadiat problem with a posably ruind tire and dident actualy ask where to get a new set with rim's and all,
for all we know she may have purchused stuff from route6x6 alredy, have you?
i have but it dosent stop me from shoping arround for any help i can get,

I agree with Preston, You guys dis not tell her to contact Route6x6
for the tire, you guys stated to check other places. They you
have the nerve to attact Preston. You other guys need
to lighten up. Yes richard does provide this for us out of love
of the sport, but is that reason not to try to support him??????????
Dave: please answer, and tell me why we should not support him, since
he does all this for use out of love of the sport?

it's up to preston to explain why it's any of his buisness what she dose!
after all we don't know if she has or not huh,
so has preston made any perchuses?have you?

hey david ( plastic master):i doubt that shellac will work on tire bead because shellac get rigid when dry and tire rubber compound stays flexible.........better to try with silicone adhesive sealant.by the way very slippery when wet.easy tire instalation on rim.....to remove tire from rim...that will be another story......but gasoline destroy and remove dry silicone adhesive sealant...... |

hi isaac, well the silicone also comes off with tork, that was my expereance with the silicone, as for shelack - thats probly why it worked for someone, my self i have never tryed it, i think even though it is hard when dry it might work because your tire beads not saposed to move? sounds right too me, but screws threw rimm worked fine so far,
and ps isaac im useing your tire tubes right now to repair my 21" set of tires as maybe this year i may need my attex insted of the max for movie makeing,
and also i have just about finished digitaly re-mastering my extreem mud run video, you can expect a copy, |
