I leave my Max II at my ranch out in the barn. The mice and/or rats are getting into the bottom and making a nest. Also they are chewing up the seat belts and anything else they can get their teeth on. Does anyone have any advice on how to keep these rodents from getting into my Max? I set some traps under the Max. Thanks, Tom |

Try putting moth balls down in the lower body. I have found that most animals don't like the smell and leave things alone. Tom , I was working on this problem this afternoon at work. I have 14 stationary generator units that I maintain as part of my job. Mice are a big problem with the generators. They chew through wiring ,the nest material gets between armature brushes causing a "no start" situation ,and a lot of damage in general for such a small animal. The same can happen on a 6x6. Also check for plugged air cooling schrouds. I agree with Gary on the mothballs . I use mothballs along with Decon. The mothballs will evaporate after a few months. This isn't an 100% cure but it helps. |

Thanks for the moth balls idea! I was completely unaware of this concept. Who sells moth balls anyway? |
