i've got one max II and I'll be ordering some more in later in the month. The factory raised prices that are effective on the 17th. Shipping is high so I'll be headind to NY to pick up a load. I'm hoping to get one of Max IV 1050Ts on that trip. Give me a call or send e-mail because i don't want to get into business on here. |

Ryan Check with Jerry and the other dealers who are on this board sometimes Also check on ROUTE66 photos ads page as there are many machines for sale there, Richard clark owner of this site usually has machines too. Ebay too but be careful many of the machines there are poor maintained junk, let the buyer beware. http://www.route6x6.com/classifieds/index.html Phillip Osborn LA |

Phillip it is a 29 HP liquid cooled fuel injected Kawasaki. More torque and HP and better fuel economy. No rejetting or carb tuning for elevation. Max also dropped the 14 HP 450T from the model line. |

Jerry, Strange MAX dumping the cheap machine and ARGO introducing one on. What do you guys think? will the cheap ARGO bring new people to our sport or will most people still only want the big ones? Bryan |

The Frontier 14hp is a good replacement for the Vanguard models. I think 14hp is going to be under powered but the Vangaurd model's performance just wasn't good enough with the old body/trans and little Runamuk tires. I don't see the entry level Frontier models bringing in any new customers. Vangaurds were a little cheaper and we rarely sell them. Still, ODG does need a low cost model for those few that do come along. I am glad the Max's 14hp model is gone as it was a poor representation of that vehicle line up. Standard chains and hollow axles just isn't something I want to sell... and never did. Jeff Bar - You are right. It is either older machines for a few thousand dollars or the best brand new machines. I have a new Max II 18hp right now for only $7500 and I can't get rid of it. Meanwhile, vehicles double that price sitting right next to it continue to sell. It is due mostly to the economy we have right now. Most people either have barely enough money for an old used machine, or so much money they just buy the biggest and best. |

Hey Jerry & Brandon, I have not sold a new Vanguard, in four years. The Avenger 31hp is the machine i sell the most of. I am like you on the 14hp, Frontier. I do have the 8x8 650 Frontier in stock. It is one nice machine, great ride, i have not had the chance to put it to the test, what little i have used it, it has impressed me. |

Jerry, Brandon and Fred . I really think the companies should have a starter model, but I guess if you guys never sell one, why bother, Maybe the starter guys buy used machines. Do you guys offer used machines all the time? Dave |

Dave, The new machines I have sold normally have customer specific options. The Max II 450T was what you would call a starter machine but it has been dropped and now the least expensive machine is the Max II 500T. It is still very reasonably priced. I get used machines and have sold every used machine within days. Most customers get a used machine if they don't want to spend the money on a new machine. I go through the used machines I sell and I have never had one come back in for repair but they do come back in for service. I get a lot of calls for quotes or prices then never hear from the person again until they are wanting parts or service on a used machine they bought. Frequently after adding the price of the used machine, repair labor and parts they could have gotten a new machine with a warranty. The companies are not inflating prices on the machines and they have a fair price for them. It is a very small market. |

500T is not a new model but it does have o-ring chains, splined axles, snap rings, not set screws, holding the sprockets in place. It is a 16 hp Briggs and Stratton with internal muffler. It also comes standard with a cargo rail and trailer hitch, 21 inch rawhide tires. I've got some pics of them on my website www.bigmuddyatv.com |
