The previous owner of my attex inserted bolts through the drain holes in the back. the drivers side one is easy to get to and drain, but the passanger side is hard to get to because it is behind the frame and its hard to get past the motor there. I'm not completly sold on those little rubber plugs either. Anyone come up with a better solution? Maybe a boat plug or something. Thanks |

if the oridganal hole size hasent bin screwed up you can use the cheepo plastic plugs that come with the vehicles from the factory, i know your thinking boat plugs but here me out. this is a less is more situation here. boat plugs are made for a thicker application that also dosent include climbing logs or rocks ect..ect.. as such they have a large profile, whereas the cheepo plastic plugs are form fitting, they nearly dissapear into the holes let alone stick out from the serfice in some way, as to wether theyd stay put- just try to get one out without tearing it compleatly apart! it can be done but it takes practice, now it is nice to save money here and there so the efort to save some of thes plugs in hopes you might yet use em again is something i admire in a person, it is also not all that nesesary when you concider that a trip to an autobody supply store with an acuret mesurment of your hole size can nett you a box of 100 plugs for about $10.00 US. at that price you can well aford to just tear em out with a screw driver when they have done there time, instalation is dificult for some people as they dont expect them to have to be almost pushed threw the holes before they snap into place, but is the secret to there sucsess after all, i sometimes have to use the handle of a small screw driver to pop mine in, depends on the strenth of your fingers. anyone? |
