Thought i would share my wonderful experience ice fishing up At Lake Simcoe this past weekend, in Ontario Canada. Learned a real good lesson in not being prepared. Was about -15 on Saturday morning, and the old beast ( Max2) had a tough time stating, pulled the choke out, and let her warm up, loaded all my gear, and took off, about 2 miles out she started to run rough, thats when i realized, i had forgot to push the choke in, so pushed it in, and she smoothed out for the next couple of miles, then started to run real rough, only hitting on 1 cylinder, going about a full 5 mph, with the throttle wide open, got stuck in a drift........and that was it. Fouled the plugs, wonderful, at 15 below zero, opened my storage box, to get my tools, and guess who didnt put the tools in the box..........yup.......that would be me. Not a good feeling, 15 below, and 5 miles out, in the dark. Now thats a lesson you dont forget. Just thought i would share a lesson learned with you all. Many thanks to my friend Rodney aka Hotrod, and to the many Canadien friends i met up there, who took there time, running me around, to find tools, and plugs, in some very brutal conditions. Thanks guys.
Jim
