recently bought a attex 6x6. it is a 440 thunderchief, but has a bolens engine that will start but spits fuel out the carb. any info anybody can give me about repair or even general info about what i have would be greatly appreciated. also it is yellow on bottom and black on top, if that helps identify it at all. |

Hi Dramser, Your Attex is a well sought-after ABS plastic bodied machine that originally had a 440cc Rockwell JLO engine, and originally twin carburetors (28mm mikunis, I think) You should certainly take some pictures and post them here, or send them over to Dave Copeland at http://www.attexatvs.com. Your Bolens engine will likely perform O.K. when fixed, but to experience what the machine was truely built to do, you could try to track down a JLO engine (a 400 or 440 will bolt right up). Good luck! ~mike |
