I've been trying to find posts from people who have built their own machines. Unless I'm looking in the wrong spot, I'm finding very few. As resourceful as people can be, I would think that there would be more information. |

My project Has been in the works for a few years now. And ever since this past Feb. when I hurt my back at work I haven't done much of anything in my garage at all. But I am feeling some better now and I'm back in the garage. My project is kind of on hold until I get my custom locker back from the manufacturer for the differential. In the meantime I am working on my trailer that will be built out of these Aluminum Decking bars that go inside of Semi Trailers for double decking loads. Just look up (Decking Bars) and you should find a few different Manufacturers. If anyone is interested in building an aluminum trailer you might be able to find some used somewhere for a reasonable price. |

It would just depend on how much scavenging you can do and what kind of features & power you want in your machine, etc. etc. Also depends on how much work you can do yourself!!! I hate to tell you how much I have invested in my project. I had a custom built locker made for my differential that cost me more than I paid for an old max 2 with a 2 cycle in it. Thats just one example of something that has cost me dearly but will be worth it performance wise in the long run. |

Try: Peloquin Differentials for VW only or if you are going to use any other type besides VW I would try: Quaife Differentials but they also have VW units. |
