It has been more than three years since I bought my Max. It sure has been fun riding and meeting so many people who loved 6x6s as much as I did. The time has come though, and I sold my Max last weekend. I ride my Scrambler 4x4 occationally but it seems no one rides anymore. Even my Sea-Doo has only been out one time this year. It seems I ride the lawn mower more than anything else. haha. I might still come to the Deepwater and Badlands rides with my 4x4 and some quad friends (if I can get them to ride). The Max is gone and the digital camera is broken so my web site will be going away soon. The lack of updates and my own interest can't justify the cost of keeping the site up. All good things must come to an end. MaxRules |

Brandon, now you can go buy yourself a good quality ARGO and not that cheep looking max. However, I shouldn't bash max since I have never been in one but they sure look cheep! |

Brandon, sorry to hear that you've had enough.i have been atv riding for 26 years now and i am only 31.started on a mini bike and have owned and ridden almost every variation of an atv under the sun.out of them all i have definitely had the most fun in my max.it's not always wise to ride alone but i love riding and if no one is around to ride with then so be it....i go solo.for you to sell your machine because there is no one to ride with is absurd.when you really love something...you love it forever and stick with it no matter what.someday you may find yourself buying another 6x6 because you'll remember how much fun you had in it.by then you will have lost probably years that you could have been riding. sorry to see a fellow rider leave the pack, keep the rubber side down. Brandon I am truely sorry to hear that you have moved on, but not totally surprised either. You are young and dumb as we all once were, and there are certainly more things to be into at your age. Maybe in 15 years we'll meet again when you meet the next stage of life---Old and Ugly Russ |

David,i will be the first to admit that the argo looks a lot better than the max.just remember that looks are not everything.i own an argo as well as a max and i can tell you from my own experience that the max is the better of the two.i am not trying to start another useless max/argo debate. i like both machines but when i want to do some serious thrashing in the woods/mud/anything..the max is the one i use.if you ever drive a max and i mean really drive it and put it through its paces, you will find yourself selling your 4 wheeler.....oops!i mean 8 wheeler and buying a max. dont judge a book by its cover, read it for yourself then decide. |

Hellonsixwheeles, I did say that I shouldn't be to quick to bash it didn't I? One day I will try one, and because I don't have money, I won't by buying one, but if the opportunity came to really test a max, and i found it better than an argo, I would seriously consider it. Good Luck Brandon with whatever atving you do (2, 4, 6, or 8 wheeles!) |

Brandon, Sorry to see you leave. Thanks for the bits of advice you shared with me when I got my Buffalo Truck. Good luck moving forward with whatever you pursue, what's her name? David, yes the Argo's do look nicer and I believe that they're a higher tech machine than the Max's, but you still can't beat the low tech simplicity and brawn of the Max. When out in the swamps and backwoods without any other support, simple and reliable is good. (Not implying the Argo's aren't reliable, but the Max is butt stupid and simple, kinda like a bike. Not too much to break, easy to fix). |

Chris, I have to agree on that one, although I have always thought of ARGO as simple as far as drive mechanism is concerned. Brandon, hopefully, one day you are back on the trails in a new bigfoot or max! |

If you ride your mower more than the MAX why not do what I did? Instead of that boring old lawnmower, I ride my Attex and mow the lawn! With your 4-stroke engine I bet the Max would make a delightful lawn tractor! As for looks, I agree, Max's are UGLY!! But they are good solid machines with lots of practical applications. As for me I am holding out for the next new Attex, because I like a smooth sexy finish on my buggy! Besides you can always buy a new six wheeler in the future, I seriously doubt they will ever go out of production! |
