I am trying to find out what all the different ARGO models were that have come out in the past since the beginning of ONTARIO DRIVE AND GEAR LTD. started producing them. If anyone has pictures of any argo starting from the ARGO MAGNUM (last ones produced) to the beginning, please e-mail them to me with a model is you know it, the year, if you know it and any other information you can provide. When I finish, I will post it for all to review but I need help as the internet is limited to the history section and thanks to this site I was able to find some, but nowhere near what I need. Thanks again and the address to send to is djhkeeso@rogers.com David Keeso ONTARIO, Canada (1 ARGO MAGNUM 8x8) |

Does anyone have pictures of the first ARGO ever to come on the market back in the 60s or 70's? What was the next model to follow? How many models were there? |

The memory lane doesn't have the ones I need. I already have all of them and it is ARGO only that i am interested in. I think i already tried walsh and co, but they don't have any pictures. I sent them an e-mail but they didn't have any. I'll even take pictures of owners machines muddy, clean , dusty anything. All pics are welcome except for conquest, bigfoot, response, and vanguard and vanguard 2 pics- i got them already. |

I need help identifying this picture of an 1983 ARGO off EBAY. They said it had a 16 hp Kohler Engine, 2 pin axles and tire chains. Does anyone know what model it was? Please let me know so I can try and fit it into some category of argo history. http://ebay0.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_EBAY_ae4f47146cf3bf70ec4e88eacd2f6ac8/i-1.JPG http://ebay0.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_EBAY_ae4f47146cf3bf70ec4e88eacd2f6ac8/i-4.JPG http://ebay0.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_EBAY_ae4f47146cf3bf70ec4e88eacd2f6ac8/i-2.JPG http://ebay0.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_EBAY_ae4f47146cf3bf70ec4e88eacd2f6ac8/i-5.JPG http://ebay0.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_EBAY_ae4f47146cf3bf70ec4e88eacd2f6ac8/i-3.JPG http://ebay0.ipixmedia.com/abc/M28/_EBAY_ae4f47146cf3bf70ec4e88eacd2f6ac8/i-6.JPG |

Again, I need help identifying a model for this ARGO. It is another picture from EBAY. The year is described as, "1974 ARGO 6 Wheel "True" The link to the page is: http://images.channeladvisor.com/Sell/SSProfiles/10053828/Images/trueargopic.jpg It looks a bit like Damen Hills Supersport, but I don't really know. Does anyone know for sure? |

David, don't give up yet. Everyone has gone to Humphrey's NY this weekend. You'll probably get some responses next week if you post your question again Tuesday or Wednesday. Give everyone time to get home and service their vehicles for next time out. We were supposed to be there too but had to cancel. |

David, I'd bet good money that the 1983 eight from E-bay one is an I/C, Industrial Commercial. Probably a K, or KB series at that. |

David This is an early model Argo (possibly an SS). Because it has a fiberglass body it either a 67 or early 68. I believe that Argo changed to ABS in 68 or 69 and then changed to Poly the following year. Be prepared, now that you have brought attention to this machine for the bidding to go quite high. Amongst collectors an original fiberglass machine like this is highly desireable. Russ |

I'll keep you all updated on new ads on ebay for all ARGO vehicles as I am on there all the time trying to find pictures for trying to piece together the history of ARGO vehicles. Again, I ask that if anyone has pictures of ARGOs before the conquest, response, bigfoot, and vanguard 2 came out, please send them to me with a brief description of the model, and year. |

Their are 2 ATTEX AATVs for sale on e-bay. One is for 225 or something and the other is i think 500 but I may be way off. Also, since I have not gotten any responses to requests for pictures of ARGO vehicles, I am giving up! If anyone at all comes up with pictures please e-mail them to djhkeeso@rogers.com I will also take current argo models now too. Thanks |

Damen, I just got back from Florida today so I didn't get back to you. I did receive the pictures and I can't thank you enough. Now I need to find time to start compiling info that I have collected over the last year and a bit. If you would be interested in adding to the timeline, feel free to ask. It shouldn't take very long but the hard part is just making sure the pictures are the right models etc. I am going to have to get in tough with ODG and get the years right too. Other than That, I think I have most of the pics I need now. NOTE TO ALL USERS OF THIS BOARD-- I despretly need pictures of the ARGO Vanguards from their introduction on the market to the time when the magnum was discontinued and the vanguards got a big body change. I don't think they were too common, but They are around somewhere. This is the only one I don't have pics of and thanks to Damen, I have just about all. (with the exception of the vanguard pics) Thanks |

I am slowly working on the ARGO stuff but I still don't have pics of the first few argos to come out. Their was the argo 6 twin, 6 heavy duty, the 8 twin, 8 heavy duty and one other 6 somewhere in between and nobody knows much about them. This site has a pic but I don't know which is which. My site is updated with some really good pics. if you get a chance, check it out. www.argomag.50megs.com I will look for those pics in the pits. Thanks for all your help. |

Hi Dave, just wondering if you have any pictures that you would be willing to share of the old Argo 8 I/C introduced in 1981 and the 1985 Argo 8 Twin and Argo 8 Heavy Duty. Also pictures of the 1987 8x8 showing the redesign changes. I am trying to identify a 1986 Argo 8x8 that is for sale. The owner has not sent any pictures yet and he does not seem to know what he really has. Thanks Argohunter@yahoo.com |
