I use my tiny MAX II for fun but not as much as my kids do!However there is a serious side to using it also.I use it for fishing but that would seem obvious to most here...I would think. What I do use it for on a serious side is making money or atleast helping me make money.I dig and sell herbs..wild herbs that is!!I take it in the mountain sides and look for Ginseng,Goldenseal, etc. and will continue to do so this season.I also use it to "aid" in prospecting for GOLD.This is what my kids look forward to the most!!It is funny when a 9 yr. old girl and a 5 yr. old boy are already far up/or down stream from a few of us "bigger kids" on 4x4 ATVs whom happen to decide to venture down a slightly rocky creek only to discover they can't go any farther on there POINTLESS adventure out riding on a day off work when they view 2 small children(girl driving!)and a WORN OUT adult coming within sight of them....from the way they were TRYING to go.Even more to the point...WE(the kids and I) made a little green for our pockets with the Yellow we found and had fun at the same time. This is how my MAX II works best...and it does it's job very, very well.Without family just what is ....money spent(or sluiced)?Riding thru mudholes or in a small lake are...okay but this is putting an AATV to good use in my eyes.

Anybody besides me(and my kids)prospect with an AATV here on these boards?

I use mine for some fun and for work, but mostly for work. I maintain a small woods, and my Max Buffalo Truck is great. It helps move trees off trails, carry cut trees out, carries tools back in, crosses the streams with a full load, anything. It's an amazing asset for this use, summer, winter, mud or hard ground, it goes through anything. It's been great clearing trails too, I've found it's tank like abilities very helpful with some thorn bushes - CRUSH THEM, Wrap the chain around the base and then just drive - whole thing comes up with almost no cutting required.

I only have minor complaints about the Max, it's hard on grassy areas. Not at all low impact on the ground (when turning only). The other complaint is the drive system, it works and hasn't given me any problems, but it looks like an old snowmobile setup in there, which is fine but I don't know how well it'll hold up working hard. Snowmobiles weren't designed for heavy towing and such. Time will tell.

i use my argo, bigfoot mainly for camping, and fishing.i tried to get a contract from the state of ks. to use it for noxious weed control, but they said it not be practical.( but a toyota 4x4 is).i don't have one of those,so mostly my son and i ride around and through the creek behind my house.sorry john no gold, just concrete.i have a three lot size yard right smack dab inthe middle k.c.so i don't get ride like i want.but i get plenty of use out it when me and a buddy,or buddies go camping.we hook up a small trailer, and go hunting for just the right spot.i have also used on a few hunting trips.i have it painted in your basic green brown and black, add a homemade roll bar/cage,and old tannue cover from a shortbed p.u. in case it rains or snows, and just for giggles,an old cammo net,and your ready to go.total price,$9.00.(that was for the net.)the turkey's really hate the ol' wetsu, which is what i named my bigfoot.it stands for WeEatThisShitUp.and we do.as far as for fishing,i am thinking of selling my boat, since i bought the wetsu,i have used my boat twice.after all who needs a boat-ramp when you have an argo,or a max(can't forget about them).any way thats about it thanks for asking. mike

I use my Argo Response for propety maintenance and handicap mobility. My wife is disabled and cannot get around our 47 acres without help. The Argo is great for that. We also throw tools, including chainsaw & gear, into the Argo and use it to maintain the property. If the Argo had a 3 point hitch and PTO for the brush mower I would not need the Kubota. (The Argo Vanguard can skid anything the tractor can. The Response has done everything I've asked it to so far.) I am also hoping to get the church camp to allow us to take the Argo later this year and reopen some old nature trails.

I use my Bigfoot for hunting, off road camping trips and trail riding whith a bunch of four wheelers, just so I can show them how it should be done. I find the Argo does a real good job when bringing out the quarters of moose and the deer we have been lucky enough harvest. I live and hunt in Ontario and our hunt camp has no road access so my hunting partners fly in by float plane with all the gear and two of us bring in the Bigfoot. The trip into camp takes about three and a half hours crossing two lakes with an outboard on the back and six miles of trail. This I find is what the Argo was made for. No quads in this bush, they don;t have the #@#*;s

I use my max 900t for? (Building a driveway) once I remove the brush and the trees I use my max like a rototiller twisting and turning to breaking up the dirt then I use the blade to shape the driveway had to put a weight on the blade to move the dirt, after that the truck load of gravel came, used the weighted blade to spred the gravel,in my opinion the max is the MAXIMUM machine for any job! A TO Z machine positive six wheel drive! till the next job, MATT

We have and Argo Bigfoot. We use it mostly for pleasure, but it also helps with the work on occasion. My husband uses it for his deer hunting. Once the deer is down he can drive right up to the deer, hoist him into the tree to field dress without having to do the hoisting himself, and then drop him into the back of the Argo and away he goes. He has really climbed through some really thick viny places where you would not be able to walk. We go out riding around for enjoyment and scouting for deer areas or turkey areas before the seasons are in. We don't want to get shot. We go for rides in the snow. I really enjoy it because I use to do a little hunting with him. But after 2 knee surgeries I couldn't stand to walk the uneven ground anymore. With the Argo I can still enjoy all the woods around us. We've used the Argo for some chores. When we bring bales of straw home for the dog house in the winter or for landscaping work, we haul then to the lower shed with the Argo. We've even set out in the middle of a lake video taping an assignment that our grandson had for high school class. We've taken the Argo with us to Thanksgiving dinner at my brother-in-laws house and absolutely everyone there went for a ride through the woods and out into the lake. They all loved it. (You might be a redneck if you take your 6 wheeler to Thanksgiving dinner.) I think the most enjoyable time for me is when we go to places like Turkey Bay at Kentucky Lake, or to the Badlands in Attica, IN, or to the Humphreys, NY mountain trails runs and meet up with other 6 and 8 wheelers for a weekend. That is great. We meet the greatest people, and some of them we consider very good friends. If we went to the trail parks on four wheelers, we would spend all day on separate vehicles. With the Argo we are side by side and can carry on a conversation about the sights. So, as you can tell, we use the Argo for just about any situation we think it will help to lessen the load on us. We totally appreciate it and enjoy it. It even brings its own trailer up from the back shed area when we're ready for a weekend away.

I have an ARGO MAGNUM 8x8 and it is now used for mainly fun up north at the cottage. It also gets used for moving trailors around that are too big for it, but it does it. It is also used in the trails, moving brush, flatning the ground, winching out big logs etc.
