after purchasing the HV-625 Hunt Vee from Power Trac in Tazewell, Va.,several problems with this vehicle have occurred. This atv is powered by 6 hydraulic motors run by 2 hydraulic pumps. This is an extremely noisy vehicle that becomes under powered after hyraulic fluid and pumps get hot after running any length of time ovr 20 or 30 minutes. After heating up the fluids leak all over the floor after climbing inclines. It will also stall out going up inclines and roll backwards down incline with no means of stopping the vehicle. This vehicle is supposed to turn around on itself and will do so until it heats up.It was supplied with "super swamper" tires. The Power Trac people did not inform us that the vhicle would not be able to navigate in water with these tires. Through all of these problems the Power Trac manufactures have been evasive and of no help. They refuse to take back this faulty vehicle or to make it right. So this is to warn any prospective buyer of a Power Trac HV-625 Hunt Vee to beware! retu@earthlink.net |

Rick: I wish you would have read about the power-trac on this board before you bought this "boat anchor". Just do a word search on "power trac" on this board and find out what another unfortunate owner found out about the infamous power trac. I hope this does not sour your outlook on 6X6's. They really are amazing machines. I hope you have enough $$$'s to buy an Attex, Argo, Max or a few other great machines. I'm sorry to hear of your problems and even sorry'er to hear this company is still in business!!!!! |

Rick, Considering you are the second owner I have seen on this board with these problems I think a letter to the state attorney general of Virginia would be in order. And call the local paper and tell them about your problems also. Also call the department of motor vechiles in Virginia. They have a consumer affairs division that will call these people and yank thier incorporation status if they do not fix your 6x6. A 6x6 is an expensive investment and should be regarded as such. In fact give me thier number I will call them on your behalf. That is just plain old ridiculous! |

I had a round of power-trac, they are not very trust worthy. I tested their machine some years ago, after flying to Virgina to look it over. I had a meeting with the owner of the company, made some agreements to test their machine, and make suggestions on changes. The short story is they did not honor their argreement with me. BEWARE OF A COMPANY WHEN THEY WILL NOT KEEP THEIR WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
