I saw a 6x6 1976 argo today and they were asking 1000 dollars just wondering if that is a fair price. I don't know much about these machines. Are they reliable? Should I look for a newer model or were they built well back then? any major problems to look for when purchasing? thank you |

All depends the shape and mechanical condition. One of the headaches with the older models are the roll pins used to secure the sprockets to the axles, usually when 1 fails the rest on the same side shear off and they can be a bear to remove and replace. Some have gone to the effort to replace those type of setups with splined axles and sprockets, much better. |

I agree, bearings and axles are the biggest problems Jeff Bar |

I will give it a try, I will test drive it. I can always work on the bearings and axles. just have to learn how to work on these things |

The price seems high to me. I got mine for $750 and it is an '82 6X6. The motor better be mint, no oil burn or low compression. Check under the fender of the middle tires for rubs. If it rubs it has a broken frame, saw an 8X8 like that. Good luck |
