Steve I tried Traillights and they suck, never clean out, very very poor water performance, I went back to Rawhides, I will never switch again |

I just finished a hustler bigfoot resto and in an effort to make it ride better i put Maxxis mud bug radails on it. i desided not to use the goodyear rawhide 3's because they are not real durable although they ride good. the terra tires just ride way to hard for me. the mudbugs ride great and look cool. They are not the best skid steer tire because they grab so well and dont slide as easily when turning. lateral traction with them is just to good. they are animals in the mud and any wet ground. I run the machine in steep slippery ground so forward traction is paramount. I try to stay out of the deep water so dont know how they swim. i would guess "not good" bullwinkle |

My argo has striders on it when I do it, I thought they were great untill I drove a attex which had the small chevrons on it, it was much better in the mud and water. I thnn but the chevrons on my Conquest and it mow turns much easier and goes in mud and water abotu 400% better. The old saying " don't fix it if is not broken" is true, these machines seem to work much better with the original tires, i guess it makes sense such as the manufactures coulld install 4 wheeler tires on them when new, but they install tires that make the machines better Duh.. |
