I ordered the new RI Max II front rack ($175+ $14.40 shipping) from my local max dealer "Bergevin's" in Swanzy NH a few weeks ago while my machine was in for its first service and it didn't get there for them to install it before I picked up my max. So my dealer sent their top max guy (Andy) out to my house which is over a hour away from them. Andy brought all the tools and we installed my front rack in no time flat. Talk about service! I am so glad to have such a great dealer in my area to help keep my max trouble free...Thanks guys! The rack looks totally badass on the front of my max. It connects to the body at 6 points with huge bolts and the steel tubing is like an 1/8th of an inch thick and is powder coated black just like the rear rack. Suposedly this was the first rack they shipped and I just wanted to say thanks to RI for another great acsessory! Keep em' coming...how about a factory outboard moter bracket? Of factory headach rack? |

I, too, would like to give Andy a big "thanks" (which I did in person yesterday) for his help getting me started with a "refurbishing" project. I'm trying to bring life back to an '86 MAX II. He's helped me stay out of trouble by keeping me from doing "dumb stuff" to my machine. |

Hey guys, if possible could you or someone else post a pic of this front rack? Have been sitting in the the garage trying to fab one up, maybe this will save some time. Thanks. Jim |

Jim, I emailed you a pic from the factory literature. I recently sold one and it also took a while to leave the factory just like Redrum posted about his. I think they have things in line now and new shipments will go out faster. I saw the cargo rack at the factory a few months ago before production. It is a very nicely made accessory for the Max II. It's always good to see new toys for our toys. I was disappointed to hear from Jay at RI, however, that he has sold very few of these new racks. I don't think they have enough advertisement for them yet, so hopefully sales will pick up. It's hard for them to fabricate and sell new parts when sales are so low. |

Hey Brandon. How hard of an install is this front rack? Would it interfere with the winch on my Max II when the body is raised for maintenance? Thanks, Bud |

Bud, The rack bolts to the max at 4 points on the front "grill" ( 2 bolts on each side of the winch plate) and 2 points on the "hood" So it does not interfere with winch, lights, gas cap or the raising of the body. |
