I've been looking for amphibious vehicles that don't look like amphibious vehicles. I've been looking for info on companies like; Terra-Jet, the Coot, and obscure stuff like REB Industries and Croco of Switzerland.
While searching the net for info... I found a company that makes QUADS for the handicapped in Sweden and England named WOODSTAR. They are made in low production so they are expensive to non-handicapped people.

The point is ----- my dream All Terrain Amphibious Vehicle would look like a WOODSTAR All Terrain Cart, but 600cc engine, full floatation capabilities, 4x4 shaft drive train, full suspension, a small (well built roll cage), and a CD player....etc.... I like the yellow and chrome!

I wish I could start making them myself for the general public. I've seen too many stupid quads sink---- and ATAV's can's keep up or take bumps at a fast speed without killing themselves.

But in the end WHAT DO I KNOW? Just a dream.

Billy,
There is a company in England that is converting the new Ford economy car into an amphib. (Sorta like the James bond vehicles of the 60's) According to the article, they can't keep up with the demand.
Sounds like just what you are looking for ...!

JT---
I think it's great that their making a comback on the road, but I was thinking more of the off-road vehicles. Maybe the road-phibs of the 60's andn the 70's died because of the lack of engineering and safety. In the 60's, the amphibious vehicle was still a new idea (other than mechanics leaving the military). I wonder what the insurance on a road-phib would be?

You know how worked up everyone get over "UNSAFE PRODUCTS", even when the product was safe and misused. 5 years from now I can see Date-Line doing a big report on "The European Amphibious Automobile and Their Problems!"

I remember in the early 80's the 3 wheeler was almost banished from the U.S. Of course, people die from taking asprin too!

Imagine these being made as AATV's!
