Has anyone tried using the motor and batteries from an electric golf cart to power 6X6? I have an attex I want to experiment with (it's not amphibious anymore) and wondered if there is enough power to drive my machine. I know the batteries will add considerable weight but since it's not going in the water that's not a problem. I just wondered if an electric setup would get me up hills. Any thoughts on this?

Speaking of electric powered 6x6 vehicles, what ever happened to that Extreme Machine 2000 thing. Did anyone ever actually see one, drive one, learn more bout one?

Secretsong you can use your electric motor and it will be fine. You will have enough power. But like you said, don't go through any water or mud. I don't know where you are going to find room for the batteries though.

Thats pretty cool unit. In todays dollars that would be $11,900 roughly. That would be a cool retrofit for a Max since its naturally lighter. Plenty of room back there for batteries too. Somebody sharp could probably buy a golf cart and move everything over.

This would be a cool motor to use. http://hiperformancegolfcars.com/index.html. looks like its got alot more power than what we are used to. One on each side or one running into the T-20. Im not sure how many batteries might be needed.

Bill- A Max is naturally lighter? Doesn't a MaxII have a heavier frame, plus a jackshaft and extra chains as compared to an Attex?
