Terry, I tried to find the pics under aatv on your site but their wasn't a aatv area that I could find. Their were only 5 albums of a quad. I'll try again tomorrow and see if i can get them.

Terry, nice additions. Those added lights on the front look like they may light up the night sky after it has blinded the trail in front. The lights on my ARGO SUCK! They are aimed way to low, they aren't very bright (probably going to die soon) and I can't get them tipped up. I think they are supposed to be that way for off road riding but I use the ARGO on the roads at the cottage more and need to see furthur up the road than 30 feet in front of me (if they even go that far) And yours look good on the front too.

thanks. the lights are from hella. dual 55 watt halogen bulbs in each light. the lenses are rated for dual 70 watt bulbs but i didnt think the charging system would handle those. the glass keeps the beam short and wide which makes a big difference by itself. the hellas already drain the battery faster than the engine can charge it back. i ran the lights alone for 30 minutes and it took almost 45 minutes, after turning the lights off, for the regulator to drop the charging level back down to normal. these lights are twice as bright as the high beams on my truck. with the added light of the max headlights the trail lights up like high noon.

Terry, the mods on your Max look very nice.I see that on your list you will be adding dual batteries. I am also doing this on a Max II. I started last fall before hunting season but I did not get it finished in time for hunting. I wished I had because one morning it was -20 degrees and the brand new battery would not even click the starter relay. A lot of winch use the day before probably drained the battery enough to where it was weak the next morning. As you know, the charge rate is pretty slow on the machine. What I did get done was add a set of secondary battery cables that I can access without having to open up the machine for a quick jump start.
Do you plan on adding an isolator to charge both batteries or just go with a parallel connection for the increased amps? I use an isolator in my plow truck. This way I keep the starter battery at full charge and the secondary battery is used for the electric/hydraulic plow motor. No more dead battery when you stall the motor pushing snow and no one around to help.
I'll run a parallel connection first and see if the increased amps help. If not, I'll go with a battery isolator.
With those nice bright Hellas and that big winch, I'm sure you have need for "mo power", electrically speaking.

ill have the batteries on a solenoid. the batteries will charge together but when the key is off the batteries will be seperated. the hella lights, winch, and trolling motor will run on one battery and the motor and headlights will run on the other. if the trolling motor, winch, or lights run the battery down, ill still have the other to start the motor. thats the plan anyway.

ok, that plan changed.
i just installed the trolling motor and an extra battery that's independent from the stock battery and charging system so i have to put it on a charger after i use it. i may change it later but for now it will do.
i noticed that the basket i added was sagging the body at the rear between the roll cage angle iron and the rear bumper so i welded the roll cage angle iron to the rear bumper and made one piece out of it. after i bolted every thing back down it pulled the sag back out of the body.
i took some pics that i will post later.
