It seems ( thru personal searches in area ) that AATV's seem to be a thing of the past around here. I live in the Grande Prairie area and most of the people around here seem to think that argo's and such are a waste of time. With the new quads being faster, cheaper and lighter it seems that ATVs are a dying breed except for seismic and oilpatch related. Talk to the guys at RED LINE power craft in G.P. about the argo's they still sell and stock parts.

I can understand why they are a dying breed ....
Like Brandon I think I have been screeeeeeeewed over big time.... here in Maine...
This is Gary/lilchief.
I bought my ARGO bigfoot am not happy with the way it shoots out black smoke. but it still is ot fixed and I called the bill barns and he blames it on the fuel... The deal around here is you buy it and keep it we want nothing to do with it after you buy it... The Dealer OFFROAD in Ellsworth tells me he is way to buisy to bother doing any thing for me ..... when I was in the prosses of buy or signing the papers he told me, my wife and my son. who signed for this mechine. that if anything went wrong with it he would pic it up and repair it.then return it to me.. Now I call him and it well we don't have a repair shop or do any serviceing .... I went to his place, he has absolutely no parts or acc in stock or even in the place at all just a few mechines sitting there... ... Bill barns sticks up for the reps and says they are not required to carry any parts for the mechines so the problem is yours.
all they say is take it to a briggs dealer and have them work on it...
That is so much bull .... I believe you should service what you sell and keep the customer happy and coming back. Sell and Screw them ..... .

lilchief,
This is Dick from OFF ROAD. Why not tell the whole story. You had called me while I was at a show with the Argo's, but you still expected me to drop everything and come get your machine. I told you to call a Briggs dealer and tell them what it was doing. If they couldn't, I offered to send my mechanic over to look at it, even though we were at a show. You neglected to say that all it was, was a clogged air filter. This is why I had you call a Briggs dealer, because most of the time it turns out to be something simple.
I AM busy, being the only dealer in Maine and I DO try to please everyone even after the sale. You are right, I don't carry any parts here, because I haven't needed any. When we do, I can get them overnight. If I remember, when you came to my shop, you were looking for ice cleats. I had told you they were on back order and I would get you a set as soon as they came in. I usually carry quite a few accessories, but we have been busy and I was sold out. I hope you realize that if we can find out what is wrong with your Argo, by making a couple phone calls, as opposed to traveling an hour and a half both ways to pick up your machine just to replace an air filter, that is probably what we are going to do.
When you called me back and told me it was an air filter, the impression I got, was that you were happy and it was an easy fix. Now I see this posted on here.
If that didn't fix it, I WILL come and get it. You can't expect me to read your mind. I have no way of knowing your still having problems unless you call me and let me know.

up date to my last post of getting screewed...
Maybe I was a little hasty on saying I was Screwed by OFFROAD in Elsworth Maine. This morning he called me back and asked how I was doing and to check up on how I liked my BigFoot, When I told him I was not happy with it after the first 8hrs and lost most of the power and shooting out black smoke ... Well let me tell you he jumped right in and said we can't have that ..next thing I know he is calling me back with a repitable company to pick it up and repair it for me. .. I think he just stepped out of his way to help a person who is visually impaird and a customer to make him happy... and by doing this I will go back to him again, To upgrade to another one in 5yrs after this one is paid for .
OFFROAD sells ARGO'S and he is quite something.... If anyone in Maine and I don't know how much father he travels but you can give him a call and he will bring one right to your door to try out and demon strait. He will answer any questions you have about the mechine and be truthfull about it... and he will try to help you any way possible.... Dick is a good man .. We just have a difference on how we would run our companys. He runs his and I run mine. But he will try to help you anyway he can... I guess I just cought him at the wrong time. to try and get some service.... well folks BUY A MAX AND BUY THE BEST RIDE A MILE AND WALK THE REST..... GET AN ARGO AND GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH.... my opinion...
