I read your posting in the EVENTS section about the ride at Hespin Acres in Laurel, Indiana on this coming weekend (Labor Day Weekend). Can you give us more information about it. We've located it on the map but can you tell us what time the ride is to begin, where they are going to meet up, the time the gates open, etc. I just talked to Matt on the phone and he is also interested. We are now seriously considering coming. Just need a little more info. Thanks for any assist you can give us.

I will be ariving at approximatly 1:00 on Saturday. I believe the park opens at 7:00 am.
I am going to wait at the closest parking lot to the entrance to wait for people to arrive. Camping (rustic) is available basically were ever you want to and from what I understood from talking to a lady on the phone is that it cost 13 dollars per day to ride for entrance fees and an insurance card (I have no idea what an insurance card is for). This is all I could really get from the woman I talked to and the web site, if you have more luck let me know. I am hoping we can make this an annual event and draw a lot of machines each year. Also, you probably should bring a helmet just in case, my friend Tom said they never say anything to argos or maxes but He says you never can tell when they will. Wellllllll, the Employer Bug got us. Roger just found out that he is going to have to work this weekend. We will not be able to go to Haspin Acres. We were fired up and ready to go, totally serviced the Argo today, and even had our room already reserved, but the best layed plans get changed. We'll be looking forward to seeing all of you at the Badlands on the 15-16. Ride safe and have a great weekend.

Five people cancelled so we only had two bigfoots and one response but we had a great time. that was my first time at haspin acres and I was very impressed. If you dont like climbing "STEEP" and I mean steep, hills then this is not a place for you to ride. alot of the hills were so steep the motor cut out on my machine three quarters of the way up. tom and steve the guys i rode with have electric fuel pumps hooked up to a toggle switch that they can turn on right before they start climbing and had no problems. these are kawasaki pumps that only have 1 to 2 lb. of pressure but they sure work well. devils backbone was the worst hill their and it is a long steep trip up, it wouldn't be to bad but their are rocks sticking out all the way up that you half to climb over. steve has gone up it several times in his response. I made it up once with the assinstance of my winch, had to go over one ledge of rock about a foot tall and got verticle real fast so I latched the winch to a tree twenty feet up the hill and pulled myself over or else i and my machine would have been rolling down. that was the only hill we had real trouble with. with my machine cutting out on a few hills I just played the choke a little and it got me the rest of the way up. It is alot more comfortable climbing hills in my bigfoot than going down hills,(my opinion). going down some of those hills the rear end started feeling real light. saturday night we put on a good show for a couple hundred quads, dirtbikes and various trucks and jeeps at a big mud hole area. we did not see one quad or truck get through this one hole so i decided to give it a try and the bigfoot didn't let me down a bit. I started from a standstill at the begining of the pit and went kinda easy the first time through exspecially at the end of it their was a big wall of slick clay you had to climb over to get out, but after the first time through i and tom were blasting through all the mud pits in that area and people watching were going nuts! Tons of people wanted to ride and didnt even know what these mistery 6 and 8 wheelers were other than they could go through more goo than anything else their. we were at that mud pit for 2 hours just answering questions and talking with people. All the quad boys were realy hooping it up watching us go through the goo and talked to us about them for quite a while, they were some real cool guys not the typical quad owners I have came across in the past. It would have been nice to have some maxs' their for some variety but we have the badlands in a few weeks. bad news though, I forgot my camera and a disposable got squashed so no pictures. hespins is a real fun place to ride but it is exstreme it alot of places, not a good place for a rookie to learn his sticks.
