Hello everyone,
I have had the worst time being able to talk with the owners of the Badlands. I was thinking of having a ride May 17th & 18th. I am now being told that there will be a big Jeep Jamboree that weekend and expect around 150 Jeeps to be there. I and the owners don't think that will be a good weekend for us.
How about Memorial Day weekend? That will be the next weekend. If not a good date for everyone, how about June 28th & 29th?
Give me some feed back so I can try to get the dates set up for most everyone can make it.
Thanks,
Troy

Troy, I'll try to make it to the next ride with my four wheeling friends. I can't wait to meet up with all the six wheeling people again. Memorial Day weekend is no good, I'll be cruising the lake on my Sea-Doo picking up hot chicks. Ok, maybe I'll just settle for cruising the lake.
I hate to wait till the end of June to go. Why not around May 31?

Troy, I think it would be a good idea to have it at the Haspen Acres park in Lowell IN just south of Connersville IN. You can ride there anytime day or night. Camp anywere you like. NO helmets, they have nice bathrooms and showers, 15 bucks gets you in, a discount would be given to our group if we ask. It is less than a hour difference for most everyone to drive to Hasen verse. Badlands and it is by far a better place to ride for many resonds. Give me a call if you would like to talk about it or learn more. Matt

I'm all for a Haspin acres ride. I have never been there and I am a little put off by the staff at Badlands. I probably will not return unless there is no other rides but badlands. I will make the extra hour trip. Eddie

Matt and Eddie,
I have thought about Haspin and was only planning on having one ride at the Badlands and one ride at Haspin this year only because of the way the Badlands treated us last year. They know that we are pissed and I thought about giving them one more chance to make it up.
If everyone wants to just go to Haspin, then let me know.
Matt, you know a lot about the place, so I will get intouch with you to get some info about the place and lodging.

Troy,
I am now an argo dealer and am planning a ride at haspin acres on June 20,21,and 22. I can and will get lodging info for those who dont want to camp on grounds. I hope these dates work for every one, on the count my summer is already shot to say the very least.
I have been to haspin several times know and it is by far superior to anyplace I have ridden before and the owners love us, do to we respect the park and clean up after ourselves. We will be able to get a discount for sure and I will arrange that being I know the owner fairly well. It would be nice also to get a head count of who is all going to come and I can probably get a pavilion reserve for us. I am planning on cooking supper saturday night for all and as always will bring the campfire wood, and maybe a little black velvet. You can have alcohol in the park, but use your head as people die at this place every month. 99% of the time from drinking + tree = dirt nap. no one should be disappointed with this 800 acres of riding. the website is motocrosspark.com. will post hotel info soon. lets get a head count so I can let the owners know of how many, to arrange the discount. Did I mention, no helmets and not being out of the park by 6?!

Hey Jon,
Could you make it for the following weekend? My Father is on vacation the second week of June and my family the third. I can't make it June 20th to 22nd, but we all can make it June 27th to 29th. Plus any info you can get for me would be great. Thanks a bunch.
By argoguru on Unrecorded Date: Edit |
Troy,
I can probably do that weekend,27-29, I will let you know within a few days but shouldn't be a problem.

Good,
Maybe between both of us, we can get a great turn out. My Deepwater ride wasn't bad, i counted about 22 or 23 atv's there. I would like to see 50 or more for a weekend. That would be fun.
By argoguru on Unrecorded Date: Edit |
Troy,
that weekend will work for me.
By Eddie Beddingfield on Unrecorded Date: Edit |
John and Troy the first weekend would of been my off weekend. The following weekend I will work.I will probably go the 21-22 because I have 2 other 6x6 that are off also. If anyone cant ride on 27-29 weekend we will be there the previous weekend. Eddie

Great.
Lets plan on it then. We can try to plan this together. Since you been there before, just let me know the info about where the place is, the campgrounds, hotels, etc. I will make up a flyer and start sending them out on my end.

Count me in on this one. I have been wanting to ride there since you told me about it a few months ago.
You should make a firm post as to the date and exact location so we know where to go.\

Count me in for the Haspin ride the weekend of June 27th. The last two times I rode there it was great!Pray for rain. If anyone wants to see what the place looks like, I have videos of our last two adventures at Haspin.
By argoguru on Unrecorded Date: Edit |
their will soon be info posted on the haspin ride in june with hotels and general information pertaining to the ride, mark your calendars for june 27,28,29.
Matt and I found a new place in livingston county kentucky this weekend called coombers ridge or to some the 109. It was very challenging to say the very least and was supposed to be around 8500 acres. not sure on the acrage but you need a gps in their if you dont know your way around. thinking about a fall ride their, any input from anyone? best of all it is free to ride and no helmets.
By Midwest atv's #1 since 2000 (Hustler) on Unrecorded Date: Edit |
Jon,
That sounds good. Let me in on the Haspin ride also so I can post and promote the ride to my customers.
By madcityken on Unrecorded Date: Edit |
So June 27-29 in Haspin? Where is Haspin, I thought we were going to the Badlands?
Ken
By hustler on Unrecorded Date: Edit |
the Badlands really don't care or want us there anymore. At least that is the impression that I am getting from them. Jon and Matt has been to Haspin a couple of times and they and others say its a great place to go. I think it is East of the Badlands, but not really sure. I do not plan on having any more rides at the Badlands unless they get their heads out of their a$$ and start treating us fairly.
By John Schwab (Johnschwab) on Unrecorded Date: Edit |
Haspin is about 20 miles south of I70 in Indiana near the Ohio border. I have ridden both places and the trails are superior at Haspin. We can also have unlimited night-rides which was not the case at Badlands. I had a great time at the Badlands, but a much better time on my two visits to Haspin. The nearest town to Haspin is Laurel, which is tiny. Connersville, a much larger town is about ten miles north of Haspin Acres.
