Hello all that were at the Deepwater ride April 5th where my father, 71 years old, was injured and had to be taken to the Clinton ER for treatment of a fractured collarbone and at least 3 ribs when he turned his 4-wheeler over on him. I would like to thank everyone that helped us after the accident. There were a few that I am ashamed I didn't get their names. I have emailed with Troy and he gave me a few names. Thank you Roger and Troy for all you did! There was also a guy I think was an EMT student that was in a yellow argo that helped, thank you as well. Dad wanted me to tell everyone that he is fine and will have a full recovery once his broken bones are healed. He also wanted to tell everyone that he drove a 6 wheel vehicle in the army years ago and he should have been better at riding than that. Being a Paramedic myself I know the dedication it takes to help when you are "off duty" Thank you to all of you. I will keep you posted on the recovery. Thanks again, Anita Hill.

Anita,
I think I can speak for all of us, it was our pleasure in being able to help you and your dad.

Hi all. Had a good time riding at Deepwater. Good to see new faces and old ones too. Not to many showed up, I believe due to the weather. I was a little disappointed though. I thought we would have an organized ride. It turned out to be a free for all. Some tried to stay together, but got tired of sitting around and took off on there own. There was no direction or supervision.
It was just like being there on about any weekend. What happened to the club type atmosphere ? This will probably be my last one.
But I will still go to Deepwater on my own. Well be safe and have fun out there. Craig

craig, any time you need a riding partner you just let me know.in case you don't remember me....i was the guy in front.and i'm sure i could get a few more to show up.i live in k.c.so it's only a bout an hour and half away.we can do a day thing or a weekend which ever you want.
and in defense for troy,it takes a lot of thought time, and energy to put together one of these rides,i know from experience.you have to figure out what everyone wants to do or where to go.and not all of us have the same idea of fun.for example;i was the only one that went blasting through the washboard, damn near loosing my cooler, and not to mention the muddy water shower.i htink i still have spots before my eyes.i do agree that there was to much standing around and not enough riding.or playing.
i have an idea;the next time troy puts on one of these rides, why doesn't every one e;mail him and tell him what each of you would like to do at a ride.then maybe he can take some the better ideas and use them.it is just a thought.mike/wetsu
