you were quite correct ,
The tag on the frame was damaged ...
reads Magna not Magma
so the model # is magna 500121
As I mentioned before , we found the frame on a scrap heap , rescued it seconds before they were going to load it up and melt it down .
I'm not sure how many hours ive spent trying to get this monster to steer , Never had any sucess untill I added the 5th and 6th wheels. Was an unexpected surprize - Sorry again about the roses Mrs Bales .
I know this must make every restorer here turn blue - But the frame came with no body , So I turned it into a Junkyard war's type project.made the body and roof/rollcage from old cars, other scrap piles, stuff from the desert we found & Gave it a military theme ...If I wasn't a poor man I'd have done it right.
It will never float again , but here in Arizona we have the worlds largest beach, just no water .
If the kid ever returns (last seen yelling WOOHOO,and driveing out into the wastelands with his BB guns & 5 of his freinds hanging on)
I'd like to start working on the transmission, its my guess the lower gears are the ones we need for climbing ?....
Where would I find a manual for this monster ?
the transmission seems to have 3 foreward gears , only one works , not sure of what type gear oil to use.
transmission has model # 512304
Thanks for your help ~
