Well guys thanks for the help,I was running again today.I sanded all the plates in the magneto as they were all kind of rusty, cleaned points again, checked all wiring and replaced the junction box on the motor which was very rusty and probably shorting. After fixing the rewind the buggy fired back to life.I went for a ride and my right front axle popped out again. This is a recurring problem that I thought I had already fixed.I guess thats the fun of driving these older buggies, the fun is in the fixing(according to my wife anyway). Thanks again this is a great site!!! Kent

kent posably your cats axel and drive tube are drilled for a 9mm hole, as they used to use a coiled up drive pin, also they do have a shear pin some times, now people do try to use long shaft 5/16 bolts, sometimes grade 5 even! but that little slop between 5/16" and 9mm alowes the bolt to be hammered and sheared as like some sort of round sissor, prehaps you can get some 9mm rod to make into drive pin's or have a machine shopp make 9mm drive pins for you to try out. i beleave argo still sells the coiled pins, there a real pain in the a......, (the pins not odg)
