I need some brake parts to complete my Hustler restoration. All that came with the machine was the brake disc, which bolts to the transmission. I am looking for: hand brake lever assembly, cable and caliper mechanism. Maybe someone has a parts machine with these ? Thanks

Randy I have a 70 something Hustler and do not use the handbrake parts...I have the lever and most(?) of the caliper and possible cable for it.
E-mail me at buoybandit@aptalaska.net and maybe I can send some or all of the parts you need

robert you can alwase updat that brakeing system with hydralic calipers like found on motorcycles or quades, also a master cyilinder lever on left laterel would be a great brakeing system

Robert: Thanks for sending the caliper assembly - looks like it will bolt right on my machine without modification. I found the original supplier: Ausco Products no: 29660, no longer available, pad no: 39519 is available through distributors.
I have identified the parking brake lever as an "Orscheln Products" parking brake lever no: 02182600 and also a distributor to purchase one for about $27.00.
I have uploaded photos to my website:

Now all thats needed is a parking brake cable, for an early 80's machine! If anyone out there has one available in any condition, For duplication purposes? I would happily have a new one made up for you for your efforts!
Thanks again to all
Randy

Randy: I could use a replacement parking brake cable for an early 80's (I think) Hustler. Your caliper photos look like mine. Do you still want a complete cable as a model? I'd send you my intact but old cable. Or if you've already had one made up, please let me know about it as I want one, too. Thanks!

Stan
I think richard still has a few of the cables,
along with T-20 trans connector cables for the
earler Hustlers, but I understand he converts
them to the newer style when he does Hustler
T 20 repairs. as he did to mine years ago, still
working great

Still searching for an intact brake cable for pattern to have new ones made. If anyone has one to offer, as mentioned before will gladly have a new one made for you for your efforts.
Again, this is for the later hustler models, which have the brake disc mounted on the right hand output shaft of the T-20 transmission.
Thanks
Randy
