I recently bought a used max 4 and was told by the owner (who bought it used that it didn't have skid plates, but after looking at it, there us a thicker heavier piece of body bolted to the lower half front and rear. I was hoping that someone could Email me some good quality pics of what they look like, I am unable to find any good photos on the web, (and don't want to buy them if I already have them)

I am sure someone here has a dig photo of a max 4 with skid plates,

YAH THATS ALL THEY HAVE FOR SKID PLATES, THEM LIL BUMP PADS, WE ARE ALL WAITING FOR A FULL LENTH VERTION,

ARGO has full length skid plates, as well as half plates. They are thick, and not classified as "bump pads"

So far I have watched five videos with both the Argo and Max in action. I own a Max IV 25 hp now,
but, in the past,,I really wanted an Argo Bigfoot
because I liked the looks of it better than the Max IV.

But,,after watching the five videos I bought from David Berger and John Schwab,,,several times each,,,I can now see, that the "TRUE" six wheel drive of the Max,,vs the "Limited Slip" differential of the Argo,,is a big "Advantage" in extremely muddy conditions,,and also swampy conditions as well.

I will concede,,that with the right driver at the sticks,,a Bigfoot with the taller more aggressive tires will go most places a Max IV will go,but with a lot more effort from the driver.

With the even taller 26 inch tires of the Max IV,,and the bigger 25 hp motor,,it just makes going through the soupy muddy,,and swamps,,,sooooooooooomuch much easier! Seeing is believing !

I live in Louisiana,,where there are lots of bayous,swamps,,low lands,,and muddy places to ride an Amphib,,and for me,, a "TRUE" six wheel drive is what I need, to take my Amphib where I want to go!

At the moment I have 26 inch Gators installed on my Max IV,,,and this Amphib now,is a lot better than it came from the factory. It was great then,
but,,its sooooo much better now,,in all muddy and swampy conditions!

Watch some of John Scwabs videos,,of the Argo Bigfoots and Max IV in action,,and you will see the "advantage" of the "true" six wheel drive of a Max!
