This last weekend at the cottage was hot. Very hot. The argo got tons of use by me and only me. I was only up there for 3 days and put 10 hours on it but the question i have is this. What is the max level that you can take the engine to heat wise. My engine oil temp gauge was almost right up a couple times and I was worried about overheating or something. It is an 88 Magnum 8x8 (see my profile for a picture) Is there a certain amount of use it shoult have each time or is their a limit of how much the engine should be run in hot temperatures.

Does your machine have an internal muffler or routed to outside? I guess you could also resort to an engine oil cooler setup. I don't know that much about these machines as I am just starting out and haven't even purchased on yet but I like to think that I can occasionally come up with a good idea or so. If Any one out there thinks the idea stinks let me know as I figure I got to learn some way.

If you mean the muffler as in the thing that keeps the noise down, than its inside although the noise is very loud. The exhaust is on the outside and their is only about an inch visible. See my profile for a better picture. I am only wondering if the heat is a problem that could cause overheating or something.

it sounds like you might be getting close to to hot.. with the gauge up in temp i would chane the oil to be save. if you plan on bouncing hard with hot outside temp you can add heat wrap to the exhaust to keep the heat down and worst case you can add a small 12 volt fan to move air around the motor good luck
