Broke again. This time just chain and sprockets. It happened on the same axle as the bearing failure. I was fixing it and noticed a little wrinkle in the frame behind the transmission. I didn't think much about it, it was small. I straightened it and finished putting it back together. When I was finished I moved it around in the basement. While moving it the left side locked up. I found the chain from the transmission wedged and half off the sprocket. I knew the chain had been installed and adjusted correctly. I then noticed the frame bent again. This time it was worse. the frame was twisted right where the inner bearing is located. The frame was also wrinkled behind the transmission.
I hope someone knows what to do. I am thinking about straightening the frame again and welding gussets and braces, but I'm not sure yet. I will look at it again tomorrow and check here for suggestions. Thanks for any suggestions, Chris

when adjust//replace chains on aatv use common sense and lift from ground the 6/8 wheels..take care to support LARGE area of bottom to avoid frame distorsion....then with tranny in neutral you should "turn" each side in order to check for proper chain tension and general condition of component by detecting funny noises or " hard to turn " situation..........proper chains adjustment makes happyer bouncing!!!

I would definitely check for a bent axle, or a bent sprocket. If it is bending the frame something must bge wrong with them.

maybe some forin object got into the chain and bownd it up, this WILL screw up any and all weak links in the system including axels or the frame provided its the weakest stuff, also stetched chain or loose chain will catch a tooth the wrong way and BOOM ! SNAP ! CRUNCH ! CRUNCH ! CRUNCH ! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Found it, Frame was bent. All sprockets chain etc are ok. The transmission pulls down toward the driven sprocket. The frame is bent so that the trans pulls on a section that is unsupported due to the way the frame is bent. There is a round support welded in under it. I welded a piece of angle iron from frame to the round support. I also welded one on the other side just for the heck of it. I went out in the yard with it and abused it, and it held up great.
All my chains were still adj. right, nothing moved. Thanks for the help, Chris

Called Recreatives on fri. (thanks for the number Fred) They told me that they have had some frame trouble and have a kit to fix it. I don't know what it will involve, but I'll let you know. One thing Allen from parts told me was that the two sprockets on the rear axle are now one piece. He said I would have to replace left rear and right rear sprockets with the siamesed new ones. By the way, Recreatives was great, they were very helpful and are sending me the frame kit w/o charge even though I did not buy my Max new and it has been out of warranty for a while. Kit is supposed to arrive Wednesday, I'll write again when I get it fixed. Chris
