Ok, to start I have Rawhide 22" III's on it now. I am also in the landscape business and am concerned with the tires marks left on turf and raked gravel areas. I also want to use the Max II in the snow just for fun and oem tracks are on my list.

So, Please point me in the right direction on new set of wheels and tires that are maybe alittle wider, have a smoother flatter tread and can take use in areas with some thorns. Being I want to get the tracks also, I may have to forgo the wider tires? Is there any thing like a punture proof tire? Where is the best place/prices to get the wheel/tire set up, 21's right?

And Lastly, does anybody have original equipment used tracks and the wheel/tires,etc. for sale? If a dealer is reading I would like a price out the door for the the set up, it's a new Max II 600T and I will do the install.

Thanks for your help and even just one answer to any of my questions would be greatly appreciated.

Dave, you need the Goodyear 21" rawhide (or clone) to run the factory track. That tire is not too bad on scruffing up the ground. The tread is what is marking the ground and smoother the tire, the less mark. The track has about the same amount of tread as does the 21" rawhide (about 1/3 of what the Rawhide III has). You will have much more flotation with the track, but it too will scruff a little. With practice, you can turn without tearing things up by doing a lot of forward backward stuff (like a conventional vehicle). Whenever you just set a brake and turn, you will scuff as deep as your tread.

I am not aware of any wider tires. Don't know of any puncture proof tire, but good quality, low pressure tires hold up real well (you can use flat proof liquid stuff if you will be in lots of cactus). You should be asking for the new track (the old track setup was belts and cross lugs and can only be used in snow/ mud conditions or real lush vegetation) and if you are getting another set of rims, be sure to get the k-rims. The k-rims and new track became available in 1997,(if I remember right).

Dave,
You might want to consider the Goodyear Runamuck tire for what you using your machine for. That tire is smooth and does little damage to lawns. It is also durable and reasonable in price. Try the Tru Trac company for tracks for your machine. For tire needs go to www.treadepot.com I found that they are the cheapest on the web and will ship the tires to your door.
