This is my first posting. I own a 2000 Max IV, still under warranty with a twisted frame. The factory says they willl cover cost & labor for repairs, as per warranty, so it will be factory fresh when repairs completed. What is its value once repaired? Also, I am interested in buying the new Max IV T90. The nearest Max dealer to me is about 40 minutes away and I've discussed the purchase with them. I live about 5 hours from Recreative Industries & am willing to make the trip there to buy the T90 direct from them. What savings can I expect by buying direct? Has anyone purchased direct from Recreative Industries and compared the cost to buying from a dealer? Are there any T90 owners who could tell me what they paid for it? I am fairly new to the AATV world & need some input to make sure I get a fair deal: all input is greatly appreciated.

The factory does not take in trades. So you will have to sell it on your own. Right now there are factory to dealer incentives in place that allow a dealer to make a great deal. Plus there is a $300.00 rebate available to any customer buying a new machine.
After RI is done with your machine it will be worth more than the average machine of the same vintage.
Bottom line... get the machine fixed...sell it yourself... go see the dealer!!!
Just do so by the end of October when all the programs end.

Jim, how did you get a bent frame?
You can get a better deal through a dealer, and it is better to buy from a dealer because that's why they are there.
RI sells the machines at list price, there is no dealing with them on price. A dealer might sell for less than list... if he's a good dealer.
The Max IV 900-T is twice the machine over any other amphib when it comes to performance. A good deal on the base model 900-T (no options) would be around $8500. List price is much higher, too high I think even for the best 6x6.

I see what you mean about the dealer being cheaper. R.I. max T900 25 horse, 26 in. wheels, hour meter, cig. lighter, winch plate and winch, heated cable: 11,700. The dealer put it at 10,600, so you made your point there.
I dont recall one event that twisted my frame.as time went on over the first year I had to keep adjusting the chain and thought chain was stretching then ran out of room to adjust and It just got worse and worse til the chain jumped the sprocket. It is a 2000 T600. Where I ride has short sharp hills sometimes my passengers are very large guys, that could be it if I have two or three big guys in there while going up and down these steep little hills.
