Hi Guys,
I bought a new alum. trailer for my max and it came with a loading ramp. The ramp is 50inches wide and has a raised edge of about3/4inch.If I drive on this trailer my tires will over hang about 3inches on each side.My question,Will the 3/4inch raised edge damage my tires?

Jack,
Over a prolonged trip it might leave a dent that will work it's way out after you ride for a few minutes but I don't think it would damage the tires unless it was rubbing back and forth on the trailer or in some way could cause the groove to etch into the tire. If it's tied down well that should not be a problem for you.

Pete,
Thanks for your response.I guess I wasn't real clear about the trailer ramp. The trailer is a 7'x7'and the ramp is only 50inches wide.My concern is that 3/4inch, edged lip cutting into my tires because 3inches of tire will be unsupported on each side. That might be a foolish question but after the purchase price I can't afford new tires.I have been driving in the snow and on the lake here and you should have seen all the looks I got. This thing is a blast!Anyway Pete thanks for your input.

Jack,
Well maybe you can add some plywood on the side on the bottome to support the tires a bit more kinda like an extension on the bed out three inches.
