Well, I just got back from my place in MT. Not too cold but cold. I drove my max II quite a bit. I can see where driving the Max around in the winter is a cold experience! So I got to thinking, why couldnt the outer body vents be plugged with perhaps some sort of removeable cover and two surface mount fans installed below the seat blowing the hot engine air onto your feet? When its 15F its pretty cold and I doubt the engine would overheat? Or would it?

your idea has merit,
prehaps a thermomiter can be added to dash with remot temp sensor in engin compartment.
but beware of fumes when you try this.
if your eyes begin to sting you might become poisend by exaust.

Bill, I think David is right about exhaust fumes and if you are just trying for the feet and lower body, go for it. I think a chamber could be fabricated that would capture engine/exhaust heat without the fumes and vent it with an "off" and "on" for those of us who have tops, but I have found just having the top requires keeping a vent open to keep vision. Floor is still cold so warm boots is a must. Just having a windshield makes a world of difference.

Listen to Fred. The first time you go out in the cold and have a windshield and top, you will never ride without one again. It will keep a lot of branches from slapping you and will keep the trail dust out of your eyes too. But add too much heat with a closed top and you will fog up. A heater with a defroster? maybe thats asking too much

Open Question.....Paul in Prescott here, to any Dealers on the board...is it necessary to have a LLC in doing this business?

HI TIM My Max 1v doesn't fog up . Is it because the four is different from the two or is it the roof design?

It's like being inside your car on a cold day with no defroster, will it fog up? how long will it take? how bad will it be? who knows. Maybe it depends on temp, humidity, and how many people are in the machine.
