This is the second time I sprung a leak by the o-ring in my caliper. The machine had about 100 hours on it the first time and has about 150 hours on it now. The first I replaced it I used a standard plumbing faucet o-ring. Does anyone know if it went so fast because of a compatibility problem with the brake fluid or do I have another problem which might have caused it to go the first time? I noticed one thing while I have the caliper apart. The hole that transfers the fluid from one side to the other is not centered in the middle of the o-ring. It is far enough off center that it looks like it almost touches the o-ring. I was wondering if this put uneven pressure on the o-ring and is causing the problem. If it's a fluid compatibility problem, where can I get the correct one?

I have had these go too. I think it is just a matter of pressure. Are you using DOT 5 fluid? You could also try mcmaster and order some different material o-rings.
