I just got a '77 attex and have a problem with it
the front tire of the "drivers" side sticks out farther out than the others, and it won't turn to the left, and veers to the right, so my question is, what are my possible problems? and how to fix them

if your rims are the same ofset and that rim is not backwards then check out the distance your axels come out of the body,(take two tires off that side)
if the axels is indeed out ferther the locking coler on outside bearing is loose or was loose and let it drift out, this might have misaligned sproket on the inside as well, many people use a punch to loosen and tighten the locking coller but i use a special spanner wrench to keep the locking coler from becoming damaged,
when i did my chiefe body style over i eliminated the locking coler type bearings becaus my drive tubes were same width as space available between iner and outer bearing race, this alowed me to use el-cheepo bearings and maintain the axels location with the bolts in the drive tube, this has kept them from frezing onto the axels also!
as for stearing troubles you may need to adgust trany bands (t-20)or macanicle disc calipers(atv5000 - atv7000)trans
more info is needed for help on that problem, maybe even pics,

(I don't know the names of the parts, so bear with me) it turns out it is not the axle, the "pin" that holds the hub on to the axle broke, and the wheel started to "walk" off the axle. so now I need to get a substitute for that pin.

The pin you want is just a bolt. Most of us use standard grade 5, but you need to get one that is long enough so that the threaded portion of the bolt isn't taking any torque from the axle. If there aren't any half-moon shaped washers already welded onto the hub, you should get some (Richard Clark sells them on this site).

they did use roll pins, but yah a bolts just fine.

from the part I got out of the axle it doesn't look like a roll pin or a bolt (not threaded) but I would guess either would work.
btw I don't know what I'm doing here, so pics would help

some people call them shear pins, is it like a bolt but head is round and oposet end has hole or holes drilled threw it for cotter pin?
thay were also used alot.
they come in the same sizes as bolts so wichever you find at your hardwhere store will work.

the part of the bolt I got out of the axle doesn't have any holes drilled in it (wouldn't surprise me if it wasin't orignal) I still haven't managed to get the 3 bolts off so I can take that assembly apart to get the rest of the bolt out
