my starter gear on my 15 horse briggs needs replaced.it is just a plastic cog with the spring above it. how can i get the gear off to replace it, or do i have to buy a whole new starter? Any info e-mail it to me at Curtisdees01@aol.com..thanks

You can remove the gear by removing the pin just above the gear. It is a hollow pin. Use a punch to remove it and remove the gear.
