I've been looking into having the inside of my Attex sprayed with Rhino Lining for ultimate waterproofing(used for truck beds)-Has anyone ever had this done? If you are not familiar with it look up their web site.I sent for samples and it looks really promising.

Keith,
The rhino lining is a standard spray in bed lining that is approximately 1/4" thick. I think that it would be cool if you sprayed the outside of the hull as a sort of skid plate. It may also serve as a waterproofing there as well. If you were to have the inside sprayed, it may not suit the purpose in which you are desiring.

Bigkodiak-That's what I'm starting to think-have the outside sprayed.I did allot of ABS repair with David's goo and it worked great but I need a paint job ow anyway. The Rhino lining comes in colors as well. My concern is-Willit stick to the ABS plastic?I'm having a sample 6" square of ABS sprayed to see if it will
I'll keep you posted.

Keith,
Rough up the abs with sandpaper first. It will stick then.

HELLO; I DID MY MAX 4 WITH THAT HURCALINER ROLL ON BED LINER. BOY WHAT A WAIST OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!!!!! I TOOK THE MOTOR AND GAS TANK OUT AND ROLLED IT OVER ON IT"S ROLL CAGE AND THEN TOOK ALL THE TIRES AND RIMS OFF.THEN I SANDED IT ALL DOWN JUST LIKE THE VIDEO SAID TO DO.THEN I TAPED ALL THE AXELS OFF. THE NEXT STEP SAID TO BLOW IT ALL OFF WITH A AIR NOZEL AND WIPE IT ALL DOWN WITH ACITONE, SO I DID. THEN YO HAVE TO MIX IT REALLY GOOD AND START ROLLING IT ON. I USED A GALLON ON IT. I LET SIT IN A HEATED GARAGE FOR 3 DAYS AT 75 DEGREESE AND PUT EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER. I TOOK IT OUT FOR ITS FIRST RIDE THROUGH ICE, SNOW, AND SOME MUDDY AREAS (IT WAS SPRING TIME) AND CAME BACK TO THE GARAGE TO SEE HOW IT HELD UP AND THERE IT WAS PEELING OFF LIKE A BANANA. SO IF I WERE YOU I WOULDENT WAIST YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

nothing will stick to hdpe plastic.thats the same stuff they make oil containers, antifreeze bottles, and gas cans out of.it will not absorb any of these things thats why the use it.dont waste your time trying to coat it or glue it.

You should have bought a steel bodied unit like a coot. I am going to have mine done.

If your aatv is older and was made out of ABS it will stick, but if it is mid 1970's or newer it could be HDPE therefore it would not work. Good luck. Matt

HI GUYS,
I work with a rhino dealer ship Guy is my best friend any way FIY Rhino dealers use a special primer on things like aluminum or fiberglass also
plastic or automobile paint, the actual Rhino material is a two part elastic polimer that will bond to any thing except bare metal. Rest assured it will out last any roll on bed liner and is guarenteed not to chip peel or crack for the life of the vehicle.
