Any thing can be done if you have right amount of money.

Back in the 80s' some guy in California offered blower kits for motorcycles.. they had copied the big, popular automotive GMC blower and made mini versions. A kit for my Sportster would have been about a $1000, that included all the compilcated drive system for my application. They made them for Jap bikes too.

A blower, being a positive displacement pump, makes more power even at idle, so there wouldn't be any exhaust powered turbo lag in the throttle response. Although it would be cool in a way to "come on to the turbo" as a driving style.

I think a blower would be a great answer to high altitude track use, etc, that you won't get through modding a normally aspirated engine. You'd change the toothed drive sprockets for the drive belt to adjust boost levels for altitude.

Anyway you force feed the engine, it's going to make more heat if driven hard, something else to keep in mind. To run a lot of boost, you'd need good rods at least, although a stock engine like the Vanguard should take a mild to moderate boost, I would think.

Guess it's time to do a search on nitrous, blowers and turbochargers :)

Check the attached link for supercharging small engines. I also read that ford emissions air pumps can be modified to make a small cheap supercharger. http://www.hscsupercharger.com/

Interesting - I was wondering if anyone had even tried it.
I'm a little disappointed at the performance of the old Amphicat I've been working on.The weight of the Homemade body, trailer left the Kawasaki motor little extra power to climb hills or trudge thru the wash (Dry river bed).
Rather than Turbo chargers,or magic shortcuts I guess I need to find a more powerful power unit. My thoughts now are finding an old motor cycle for the power unit.Maybe just leave it in gear ( 3rd gear maybe ?)
If its too much power its better to tweek it down so its safer to ride than tweeking some little fella into carrying a bigger load heh
