I'm a proud owner of a Big Foot and I love it ... I have had no problems with stearing it. I have the supertracks on it and made my own cleats for it where I drive on pavement alot to go from one trail to the other... I have gone up bankx of 70 degrees to the point of almost no balance from tipping over... I won't do that again...if I can help it. I have come off banks where my winch missed touching the ground by a half inch. I have all the extras. convertable top and all . it is great.
The brakes being heated up is pretty nice Idea it keeps me nice and warm in the winter here in Maine at tempts falling down and hoovering at 30 degrees below zero.. I have no problems turning even with these cleats on asphalt, snow, sand.dirt,Ice, So far the only time my ARGO didn't like the terrain was in deep slush and I don't know of to many machines that do.
The only thing I would change on my Big Foot so far is the Engine it should be a 20 hsp instead of the 18hp.. if I ever blow my engine I will install the 20hp.
My Doughter and I was out on a lake a week ago and I wasn't thinking much of the weather had changed and hoover at 45-50 so I didn't think much of the melting and such I was just thinking are heck I have a 6x6 I can go anywhere... Well the ineveitable happened I drove into an air pocket and we went through nerver took on any water we just sat there flooting... Me with my Blind eyes ( I have 3 ft of good vision with an objedt the size of your hand). Sluch built up under me and kept me on top of the stuff and I couldn't move. we rocked it and everything didn't know what to do. I did have my cell phone with us. Well the warmth of the breaks kept us warm and also melted the sluch enough so after an hour I was ablt to move just enough to get the tracks to catch on the ice and we were off again. this time to get back on shore.. I have to say My ARGO is a blessing...
I was looking at Max's though. I just didn't like the front of them to short and I am very nervious with any thing comething to close to my face.. even with a windshield... So I bought the ARGO...
It is a great 6x6 all the way around...
