I have an attex superchief that I just recently took for a "swim". I have replaced four of the tires with knobby tires and still have two of the orignal "balloon" style tires. I know that the reason it will not move in the water is due to the knobby tires, I don't want to spend the money to change my tires, is there anything else I can do to improve my water performance. I once read here of installing metal "blades" inside the rims. Has anyone tried this and how does it work. I will not be spending much time in the water, but when I do, I need to at least control my direction of travel. Right now all I do is bob along with practically no control of direction.
Thanks
Bruce

Have you thought about a troling motor? I use one and it works great, even in the river. Matt

Hi
I'm John I just got an ATTEX 275 on tuesday. When I got it home I went into the creek and went across fine. When I turned around and was coming back the water started to get deep inside the attex; It came up to the seat and I was moving more water out of the air inlets in the lid above the motor than I was near the tires which were completly under the water. It still has the baloon tires. Any suggestions what is wrong?
