I am looking at buying a used Amphibion,it will probably be used mostly in snow oe water as the forest service has closed most of the woods in N.W. Montana. What i have learned so far from this discussion board is that older Maxes have weak spots, all maxes have weak seals but are more fun,Argos are better built, but are noisy, harder to manuver and only drive one set of wheels at a time. Any comments,or advice gladly listened to Thank you. ED.

buy an argo..they are not noisy..at least the new ones..there not 4 wheel or 3 wheel drive if you know how to drive.and they are not harder to manuver..you just have to know how to usse the throtle..go argo

Well, i got impatient and purchased a machine, summer was passing me by,i did some research as much as i could without seeing either machine, one day i leaned toward argo the next towards max. With me the deciding factor was availabity.I am driving to Belgrade Mt, this weekend to pick up a red 2000 t900,with tracks and the 26 inch tire option,it is a Max4.Hope to ride with some of you somewhere, someday.
