No One Knows!!!!!
Does anyone have any information of the new 2001 "coot" ATAV?????????
Just wanting to know if they're back into production yet or if the floor dropped out from under the new ATAV.
If so, what is the web address, or even a mailing address or business phone number to be contacted by.
Well?????

Billy,,I have talked to a man who has bought one of the very first Coot proto-types,,and he uses it every chance he gets. He has told me,that the son of the man who originally designed the Coot and built it,is still trying to find a financial partner to go into full production with him. He has had two of them so far,,and each one has been a big financial dissapointment. I have been told also, that the son that is in charge of building them,,has at the moment,,about 10 bodies, motors, ect ,but, does not have anyone to help him go into production with them.He is a young family man who is quite busy,,and this is the main hold up at the moment. He also has an engineering degree,,and all the nessasary tools and machines to build the new Coot. Time and money to start up his new venture,,is the only hurdle. My friend tells me,he may start building them this coming fall.

Hey guys,
I'm from Peoria, Illinois and I know the ad company that is doing the national campaign for the new coot, Ross Creative and Strategy. Look them up on the web, they will have specs on the new coot. I don't care if I go broke, I gotta have one. They are starting production here in Farmington, Illinois. "Let's go fishin'"

We are the company who is making the new Coot2. We have a web site www.coot2.com. It explains a little about what is going on.
We are very close, it has been a nightmare but what we have is well worth waiting for.
The new coot has been in prototype testing for about a year and last weekend I personally went out riding for six hours of non stop fun. we were in the deep timber crossing trees and up hills through water and in the mud. It does what it's supposed to do.
We are almost ready to start taking down payments and developing a delivery list. We are actually waiting on nothing at this time except to build one last prototype to make sure all of the drawings fit to each other. After that is complete, the flow of production parts can be established and production will start.
If you have any questions please feel free to call 309-245-1010 and talk with Greg or Dave.

Dave is the "new" Coot faster than the old one? My buddy had an old one years ago, and that thing would only do about 3mph at WOT. As my dad would say, "you need to set stakes to see if it was moving". Just wondered if that is still the case?
I wish you guys good luck with your new endeavor.

Attex Bob,
The new Coot will be considerably faster than 3 MPH. With the proper wheel size it will go +/- 16 MPH. It also has a two range transmission which enables higher speeds and less available torque and lower speeds (=/- 8 MPH) with higher torque availability.
