Hi Im new to the site,great site btw.I was wondering if any of you have heard of the wildcat by terratrack.They were being made in Lincoln Neb.They were bought out,and moved to Clay Center Ks.I had the chance to test drive one in Clay Center.Its really a nice machine.Their web site is terratrack.com.Check it out.

Scott, Yeah it is a lot like the old Cushman Trackster. I will say this about that!! I owned a trackster, and I never threw a track, I hunted at -60 below in country that would have killed me if I broke down. I have gone back 30 miles in the frozen muskeg pulling a trailer and brought out two full grown moose on the trailer. All of the years I drove the thing, it was superb. I did sink it twice under water. That is the only thing , and it was my dumb fault. I NEVER had a problem in any kind of snow. It goes over it all and it can be 20 feet deep. It could have a bit more room in back, but a small trailer will pull very easily. I certainly would buy one again. My Hydro-Trax has me spoiled because it will float 1000 lbs.If I didn't have the HT, I probably would own a Wildcat.

Hey Bubba, I have heard that those old tracksters were pretty much a stranding waiting to happen. Its not if butwhen the dang thing will break down. I dont have any real experience but thats what I heard. They are kinda cool and I thought about buying one instead of tracking my Max. Yours was pretty good huh?

BC, well all I can do is tell you what mine was like, and I'll say it again, it was just about bullet proof.The new ones look even better with the engine in back.Some folks picked up rocks in the bogies and broke them. I watched not to spin brodies in the rocks and never had a problem. I did have to "back" down a few banks to keep it from tipping, otherwise it served me well for several years.

well, I am planning on getting my new Terratrack RangeRunner this winter in 2005. Just pushing through the paperwork now.

I thought about an Argo 8x8 with tracks but the trackster is more to my liking.

I got to drive one of the Cushman Tracksters back in the early 70s. Since then I have wanted to own my own and now I finally get it.

I am planning on using it to get to the mountian tops here in North Idaho so that I can maintain some microwave equipment. This new toy is going to be used in snow and mud and needs plenty of ground clearence so that I don't end up sledding down the hills in the thick powder. Also getting all the extra options.


Does anybody here have a new TerraTrack WildCat or RangeRunner and good things to say about it?
